Why am I getting a name mismatch warning on my SEPA payment?

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Verification of Payee (VoP) is a check banks run before sending a SEPA transfer. The sending bank compares the beneficiary name entered against the name registered on the receiving account, and returns an exact match, a close match, or no match.

Named EUR accounts are issued through our banking partner, and some IBANs are still registered under the partner's entity name, Bridge Building Sp. z o.o., so the check can come back as no match. Our provider is updating this so the check resolves correctly.

You can continue with the payment. This is a warning, not a rejection. The transfer is routed on the IBAN, and funds will settle into your account as normal.
